Risk Components
Digital Insurance Verification
GRMS has built live data integrations between GRMS and the companies providing proof of insurance. Using this technology, GRMS digitally pulls insurance verification data directly from the databases of insurance providers and continuously monitors the data against our client’s requirements essentially eliminating the need to request a Certificate of Insurance (COI).
If the supplier’s insurance provider is a member of our network, our client will have real-time verification of the Supplier’s insurance coverage and compliance. The GRMS Veritas platform will immediately alert our clients to any problems, including cancellations, expirations or reductions in coverage.
Experience Modification Rating (EMR)
EMR is a rating used by insurance companies, to factor a company’s safety records, and jobsite losses, into the rate to be paid for worker’s compensation insurance.
(Requires documentation from Worker’s Compensation insurance carrier that shows the EMR for the last 3 years)
Financial Stability
Bankruptcy, Liens and Judgments Monitoring
A 5-year search for any bankruptcy records as well as for any civil judgments or tax lien records under the legal company name. These records are continuously monitored by GRMS’ system and will alert clients with any changes found.
Experian Financial Stability Risk Score
Experian Financial Stability Risk Score (FSR) provides critical insight on the potential of a business going bankrupt or defaulting on its obligations. It provides a quick assessment of risk with an easy-to-understand 1 to 100 percentile score and a 1 to 5 risk class that segment businesses into risk categories. GRMS’ system continuously monitors this score and updates GRMS’ clients weekly with any material positive or negative changes.
Hazard Identification Survey
GRMS requires contractors to complete a customizable Hazard Identification Survey which gathers more details about the work that the contractor performs. Based on the answers to this survey, GRMS will require submission of up to an additional twenty-one contractor safety programs for review to ensure they meet minimum standards. GRMS will work with the contractor to correct any deficiencies.
OSHA Injury and Illness Reporting
GRMS will collect OSHA 300 and 300a injury and illness statistics such as TRIR, LTIR, and DART and will compare against the Bureau of Labor and Statistics (BLS) industry average based on the NAICS code for the contractor. Also includes Identification of any contractor’s past history of fatalities, citations, penalties and/or current violations from the U.S. Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) website.
Safety Program Desk Review
GRMS collects and reviews contractor safety programs to ensure they meet minimum standards. GRMS will work with the contractor to correct any deficiencies.
W-9 Tax Form Verification + TIN Matching (Optional)
GRMS collects and verifies the most current W-9 tax form from each supplier ensuring that it has been completed properly. Image of the tax form is securely stored online and is accessible 24/7. In addition, GRMS can validate whether the TIN and name combinations provided on the W-9 form match IRS tax filing records.
Program Enhancements *
MSHA Fatality, Citation & Violation Search
Identification of any contractor’s past history of fatalities, citations, penalties and/or current violations from the U.S. Department of Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA). GRMS can also collect and review MSHA Form 7000-1.
